The VOLCANOS first erupted on the surfin' rock instro scene in early 1994. Later that same year they cooled to the point where they could be taken into the studio and their music captured on tape. Explosive, Hot instrumental rock akin to "Surf" music (if anything can truly be described as such) is their bag. Although they revere the early RI's (rock instros) the Volcanos aren't interested in refinishing old sounds of surfdom. From the first singles to their new CD/LP they boast original tunes and melody delivered with a whole lotta spine. "A good instro can be very compelling" says guitarist Rick, "People have experienced amazing feats of strength and daring when a good instro is going thru their head." Instro fever is also known to cause car crashes and insane joy rides among unwary wave brained listeners. Much of the Volcanos' instrumental whiz comes from years spent with the Zombie Surfers (Michigan's best and only surf combo for years), the Hellbenders (spaghetti & cowpoke sounds) and garage rockers the 3-D Invisibles. More importantly the VOLCANOS have erupted forth a smokin' batch of guitar rock instrumentals and surf-twang instro mood music that'll take you into the next century. Believe it!
